Fresh from the Surry Hills oven
Game writing, baked slow and served warm.
TitanStormEmpire.pro is a small-batch game blog. We knead every review by hand, let our lore essays proof overnight, and pull patch-note digests hot each morning for players who like substance over hype.
The daily menu
Columns we bake every week
Four signature recipes, each with its own texture, schedule, and membership tier in Australian dollars.
The Sourdough Review
Our flagship long-read review. We play a game to completion over 30–40 hours before a single word is written — no launch-day hot takes. Each verdict includes a performance pass on PC and console, accessibility notes, and a spoiler-safe section. New loaf every Thursday.
Reader tier — from AUD $6/month
Lore, Proofed Overnight
Deep-dive essays that let a story world rise slowly. We trace the mythology of Titan-scale RPGs, cross-reference codex entries, and interview narrative designers where we can. Illustrated, footnoted, and roughly a 15-minute read. Published fortnightly on Sunday.
Reader tier — from AUD $6/month
Morning Patch Digest
A five-minute breakfast read. Every weekday at 7am AEST we sift the biggest overnight patch notes, balance changes, and update rollouts into plain language, with a clear "what actually changed for you" summary. No filler, no ragebait — just the crumb that matters.

Watch: 90 seconds with our readers
"The Sourdough Review talked me out of a $110 pre-order and into a game I now adore. Finally, critics who actually finish the thing."
"The Morning Patch Digest is the only gaming email I never unsubscribe from. Five minutes and I actually understand the balance changes."
"I pitched a guide at their Friday clinic and it went live two weeks later with my handle in the byline. Genuinely the kindest games community I've found."

Frequently asked questions
We accept review copies but never payment for coverage or a guaranteed score. Every review discloses how we obtained the game at the top of the page. If a publisher attaches conditions, we buy the copy ourselves and say so.
The Reader tier from AUD $6/month removes ads, unlocks full reviews and the lore archive, and lets you vote on upcoming coverage. The Baker's Table tier at AUD $14/month adds monthly game nights, pitch clinics, and byline credit on community guides.
Absolutely. We hold open pitch clinics on the last Friday of each month at our Reservoir Street studio, and remotely over video for interstate readers. Bring a one-paragraph idea; commissioned pieces are paid at Australian freelance rates.
We test on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch, with a soft spot for RPGs, strategy, and story-driven indies. If a game runs on Steam Deck we note it, since a lot of our readers play on the train through Central and Redfern.
